Sugadaira Kogen Heights is famous for great powder snow and a wide range of ski areas and a variety of ski slopes.
Sugadaira Kogen has easy access from Tokyo.
It takes 90 minutes from Tokyo to Ueda by Hokuriku shinkansen(bullet train), then a 40 minutes bus or taxi ride from Ueda station to reach Sugadaira Kogen snow resort.

Snowshoe guided tour

You can enjoy Sugadaira Kogen’s gorgeous nature and mountain views while snow hiking.
Hiking route is from Sugadaira Kogen Snow Resort ski resort to Mt.Nekodake. At the top of Mt.Nekodake a 360 degree amazing mountain view is waiting for you.

This area is popular for sports summer training camps and winter sports such as ski, snowboard and snowshoe.

Operated by: Yamaboushi Shizengakkou(Nature school)in Sugadaira Kogen.

You can enjoy a variety of nature and seasonal nature scenes while mountain trekking.
Nature expert guides each party and explains Sugadaira Kogen’s nature.

About Ueda city

Ueda city is 180~190km north-west of Tokyo metropolitan area.
It takes 90 minutes from Tokyo station to Ueda station by bullet train(Hokuriku shinkansen).
There are many historical sightseeing places and onsen spa area besides outdoor activities area.
